On May 23, along with the relocation of 1920 transmission online monitoring video terminals in Urumqi, Xinjiang to the unified video monitoring platform of Xinjiang electric power, the State Grid Urumqi power supply company realized the unified access, standard, platform and protection of transmission professional video terminals, which also marked the first seamless migration of transmission online monitoring terminals in Xinjiang electric power.

In 2019, in order to promote the on-line monitoring of transmission lines, the company set up a special network camera for the transmission lines under its jurisdiction and built an on-line monitoring system for transmission lines. The completion of this system has realized the real-time monitoring of the geographical environment and equipment status of the transmission line, solved the problem of "blind area" of transmission line inspection in Urumqi power grid, and made the transmission line inspection more efficient and accurate.

This year, in view of the characteristics of the large volume, remote location and complex network structure of the previous transmission online monitoring video terminals, Urumqi power supply company made another effort to migrate and transform it to a unified video monitoring platform.

It is understood that during the access process, because the unified video monitoring platform adopts the external network communication mode, while the original transmission online monitoring system adopts the special network for communication, the two different network types cannot be directly interconnected. The company actively explored innovative methods, promoted the full access of qualified video terminals in various disciplines, and developed a seamless migration scheme for transmission online monitoring video terminals, avoiding the problem that the traditional solution requires the replacement of video terminal communication modules.

"Compared with the traditional way of replacing the video terminal communication module by climbing the pole, this scheme greatly reduces the capital and labor costs of the video terminal migration of the power transmission specialty, reduces the work difficulty and improves the work efficiency."
